Road trip! When we heard that we were going to jet to Shanghai for the World Expo, we were all a buzz with excitement! This was certainly something we could not miss, with the modern, burgeoning city as a backdrop to one of the most breath-taking displays of creativity and design; it was set to be a trip to remember. Excitement and anticipation filled our veins before the trip, during and was palpable even as we remembered it.
A big THANK YOU has to go out to our boss for giving us this wonderful opportunity. The fully sponsored trip threw the management and design team right in the middle of what can be 2010’s most impressive world exhibitions on design. Needless to say, the learning journey that the exhibits took us through left us all astounded.
The theme was “Better City, Better Life”, and the event itself attracted officials and creative’s from all over the world – the whos’ who in the industry and political powerhouses! We immersed ourselves in the soul of innovation and the spirit of interaction, hoping not only to be awed by the exhibitions, but to be able to take away lessons and tips that we can use to better ourselves. This was a golden opportunity for us over here at Chew to not only live and learn the urban civilization displays and explore new approaches to human habitat, but also bond and strengthen the family spirit that we have.
190 countries and 50 international organisations placed their wares on display! It was an amazing trip to say the least and the pictures that follow will surely speak a thousand words.
