Modern Moroccan Living

Inspired by the rich culture and colours of the Kingdom of Morocco, we went with a very ‘enclavish’ look to the interior. With a soft hint of gold hewn into the design concept, the overall effect gave us a lavish glow – throwback into the glory days of one of the most powerful and colourful kingdoms in the Eastern Seaboard. Entrants to the room will be treated with soft yellows and subtle oranges, contrasted with porcelain white ceilings and woodwork across various sections of the living room. While rustic in inspiration, we knew this had to be a modern work of art as well, with sharp corners and edgy furniture thrown in for contemporary measure.

Living in great spaces – the high ceiling with a halogen down light served as a perfect way to enlarge the living area of the room, while the porcelain orange painted wall served as an intriguing backdrop to the dining table. The rich east is an ironical application of brick and wood – and this is achieved by the full height brick wall as the TV console, truly bringing out the Moroccan feel. All in all, this house is a gateway into olden and modern Morocco – a Middle East, Asiatic throwback with contemporary touches for a truly grand experience.
